The XG1™ Cognitive Radio - Base Station version functions as the central site in a data network exchanging data with up to 1,000 Data Radios. It can support transfer rates of up to 180 kb/s in the inbound or outbound direction.
The XG1 Cognitive Radio - Base Station version provides a fully-compatible Ethernet connection to the Internet or local IP host. A Network Management System connection is supported via this same interface for connection to Adapt4's Network Management Software.
A higher RF power option is available for Longer Range. This includes a 120W, external Power Amplifier connected to a separate transmit antenna. This feature also allows the receive antenna to be placed above the 500 ft FCC limit, since it is not used for transmit.
The Base Station version radio uses the same enclosure as the Data Radio version but includes upgraded electronics to provide a frequency reference for the entire network. Additional software is also included for management.
