The XG1™ Cognitive Radio operates as either a base station or a remote station. This lowers the stocking cost of spares since the radios are interchangeable. The radio, operating in either mode, provides wireless Ethernet connectivity. Transparent transfer of serial data is also supported. The XG1 cognitive radio includes Adapt4's patented cognitive capabilities allowing it to use licensed frequencies on a non-interfering basis.
The XG1™, while operating as a base station, exchanges data with up to 1,000 remote radios. It can support transfer rates of up to 180 kb/s in the inbound or outbound direction. A Network Management System connection is supported via this same interface for connection to Adapt4's Network Management Software.
